In September 1666 the heart of England's capital, the City of London (now London's financial district), was devastated by fire. The Great Fire of London started in a baker's shop in Pudding Lane.

Warwick Castle

Alnwick Castle: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first two Harry Potter films. It is the location used for Hogwarts Castle in ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.’ It has been featured in other famous films as well, like ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.’

3º ESO: Cosplay

Cosplay (コスプレ, kosupure), short for "costume play", is a performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. Favorite sources include manga, anime, comic books, video games, and films.

The largest event for cosplayers outside Asia is the annual San Diego Comic-Con. The biggest event in the UK is the London MCM Expo, while the biggest event in all of Europe takes place in France at Japan Expo in Paris, with an attendance of over 200,000 in 2012.

In 2013, the Montreal Comic-Con and the Winter London Film and Comic Con were a great success. Watch these videos! They might help you decide your costume for Halloween!

October 31st: HALLOWEEN !

Two thousand years ago, the Celtic people of England, Ireland, and northern France started their new year on November 1, which marked the end of the harvest and marked the beginning of the winter months.

On the last night of October, they gathered to celebrate their New Year's Eve festival. They lit huge bonfires and they also wore scary masks to frighten away the ghosts and goblins that were thought to walk the earth on that night.

According to the Celts, the spirits that came out on Halloween would desguise themselves and knock on doors, asking for food or presents. If the people who answered the doors didn't give out treats, the spirits would play pranks on them. This is the origin of trick-or-treating.
